When It Comes to Alzheimer’s, Important Changes Are Coming for MA Beneficiaries

In a joint op-ed with George Vradenburg, co-founder of UsAgainstAlzheimer’s, GAP President John Dwyer argues that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has taken an important first step towards improving our health care system’s ability to address Alzheimer’s. By authorizing significant payments for Medicare Advantage beneficiaries with a diagnosis of dementia, CMS has created a powerful financial incentive for early assessment and diagnosis of dementia.
